Boy, time flies. I’m sorry for the long delay between posts. The past month has been, how shall I say it… trying.
My classes were great this year, and after staying down at Catholic University for three weeks, I came home to a lot of catch up, both for my job and for my yard.
And catch up I did. For the most part, I’m back on track, my yard is looking great, and I’m looking forward to posting some new photos in the days to come. The weather here has been warm and rainy, and as long as I keep on the weeds, fertilizer, and for the roses, weekly spraying for a myriad of issues, all will be well.
In the next three weeks, I have some major paper writing to get accomplished. Three papers to be exact, but they are on topics that I’m interested in, so it should be challenging, but fun.
Just to keep you in the loop, my plans are being finalized for a retreat I’m leading. The retreat theme, “Making All Things New”, is, as you know, near and dear to my heart. The thrust of the retreat, to be held next January, will be on how spiritual practices drawn from Ignatian spirituality can be used to help people get their health back on track. Once these papers are done, I’ll be writing up a storm on this blog about the retreat, the Ignatian practices, and all the fun we’ll have. I’ve even got a nutritionist who I’ve worked with before coming to help me do a cooking demonstration. Great food is going to be key on this retreat!
Well, I have to get back to my class work. Thanks for not giving up on me and my blog. I promise, better posts are on their way.
I hope you’re having some time to relax wherever you are. I continue to learn the benefits of relaxation, especially in the summer.
