Ready To Relax

Wintersn

I just finished a huge project at work, and now I’m  really ready to relax.

I was a bit worried that I wouldn’t get it done, but this afternoon, I hit the enter button and that was it.

Have you ever felt the pressure of a huge deadline?  I’m sure most of us can relate.

Sadly, I’ve not had very much time to reflect on this season of Advent.  I tried to catch up a bit this afternoon, visiting the adoration chapel at my church.  Ah, peace and quiet, and a restored sense of wonderment.

As we wind down from the hustle and bustle of Christmas, I hope you’ll have the chance to relax a bit.  Sit by the fire, enjoy the tree.  Put on a Christmas CD, spend time with friends and family. Visit a church to check out their nativity scene.  Take a drive and look at the Christmas lights.

Prepare your heart for the true joy that comes with Christmas, remembering when Jesus came among us, not as a mighty warrior on a flaming chariot, but as an innocent baby. Emmanuel is almost here once again.
