Yesterday marked the beginning of Holy Week, a time when Christians spiritually prepare themselves for Easter. I hope and pray that these days might be a time of reflection and inspiration for you.
Recently, I was at a men’s conference, and the speaker said something that really got me thinking about life.
He said that there are four main parts to each person’s life: physical, mental, social and spiritual.
The speaker noted that for most of us, we put that majority of our efforts into the three that end when we die. At death, our physical, mental and social lives come to an end.
But our spiritual life goes on after we die. It’s eternal. That being said, many people go through life with little or no focus on spirituality and our relationship with God.
Please consider these days leading up to Easter as a time of introspection. Pray about how you might be able to bring some balance to your life. How much time do you give to your spiritual growth? What role does God play in your daily living?
Let’s use these days to balance things out a bit more, emphasizing the most important and eternal part of ourselves.
