I know some folks that are going through a tough time, and they are mourning the loss of many things they held dear.
It is hard to watch and participate in, and in fact, everyone associated with the situation grieves alongside them.
We all experience loss throughout our lives, and even the smallest ones feel very painful. The larger ones can be downright overwhelming. But we are called to move through them. Prayer helps, but we might feel as though God isn’t listening. Talking with someone helps, but it might seem as though they just don’t get the depth of our pain. Ultimately, we are left to do the best we can and move through the loss, trusting that there is light at the end of the darkness. With faith, we can get through it. Without faith, well, I can’t even imagine.
If you have recently suffered a loss, know that you can get through it. The pain might seem unbearable, but with help, you’ll be o.k. Loss doesn’t have to only mean the end. It can also mark a new beginning. Take your time, and be gentle with yourself.
When we must deal with problems, we instinctively refuse to try the way that leads through darkness and obscurity.
We wish only to hear of unequivocal results, and completely forget that these results can only be brought about when we have ventured into and emerged again from the darkness.
