Transitions

Making All Things New Web

I hope this finds you well and ready for the long weekend ahead.

Over the past several days, I’ve been thinking about all the changes that I am in the process of making.  First, this website will be getting a new look in the next couple of weeks, and I think you’ll find it easier to navigate.

I’ve also been working in earnest on my doctoral writing.  This will be a big weekend for laying everything out.  Not that I’m counting, but I have 130 days from today to get all my writing done, edited and ready to submit to my reader.

After a tough and demanding semester, my last thank God, I’ve been slowly developing a plan to get everything accomplished.  Gratefully, a team of friends have stepped up to keep me on track.

I’m also transitioning into my retreat preparation mode.  Yes, the retreat tied into my doctoral work is coming quickly.  I’m grateful to say that it’s almost full, and the retreat center has added more rooms.  It’s exciting, and I know it’s going to be great.

Lastly, the seasons remind us that everything is in transition, whether we recognize it or not.  The days are already getting recognizably shorter, the nights cooler.

It begs to ask the questions.  What’s changing in your life?  What needs to change in your life?  As we move into fall, it’s a good time to reflect on transitions.  Are there doors getting ready to close, only for new and exciting one’s to open?

I'm passionate about helping people realize that God wants to make something new of them and bring about a permanent transformation in their lives: body, mind, and spirit.
