In all the year’s I’ve lived in Maryland, I can’t recall ever having predictions of snow this early. Heck, it isn’t even Halloween yet 🙁
Well, the weather forecasters are predicting, if you can believe it, up to eleven inches of snow in my area by Saturday night. Yuck.
Don’t get me wrong, I love snow. Just not this early. The thing is, we can’t control the weather, as much as we would like to. In fact, there’s plenty of things in our world that are beyond our control.
I’ve recently been talking to some friends about the difficulties that can occur when we try and control other people. We want them to do what we want, when we want it, in the way that we want it, and more often than not, it just doesn’t work out.
I don’t know about you, but I always get a little upset when someone try’s to control me. How about you? And yet, even though we may not like to be controlled we attempt to control (in a negative way), those around us.
Folks, maybe life would be a whole lot easier if we just tried to take care of ourselves, and let others do the same. That’s not to say we can’t give advice, input, and challenge when necessary.
When it’s all said and done, let’s just let people take responsibility for themselves and the choices, good or bad, that they make.
