Ok, I’m working on getting some dessert recipes up soon. Fruit is one of the very best things you can serve at the end of your meal. Check out a great strawberry recipe by going to my June 5 posting.
Here’s another simple, Italian dessert.
Peaches in Chianti
serves six
4 large ripe yet firm peaches, peeled, pitted and sliced into eighths.
1 1/2 tb fresh lemon juice
3 tb sugar
3 cups Chianti or other dry Italian red
Place peaches in a medium bowl and add the lemon juice and sugar; toss gently to combine. Let stand for about ten minutes at room temperature and then toss again.
Add the wine and mix gently to combine. Cover and refrigerate a minimum of eight hours, or overnight. Serve chilled.
