Here Comes The Sun

snowy sunrise

After a very snowy day and evening yesterday, I was so grateful to see the sun peaking through the spruce trees in my back yard.

That bit of cinderblock you see running through the snow is my retaining wall, which is about four feet high.  Yes, I may have snow lingering till Memorial Day.

There is something so peaceful about falling snow.  It makes a sound which is hard to describe.  Wispy comes to mind, but that’s not quite it.  I guess you have to hear it for yourself.

I had some good thinking/praying time yesterday, and much of it was directed towards my doctoral project.  I know I’m on to something with the concept of linking Ignatian Spirituality to health transformation.  It’s easier said than done, however, and there is so much to learn and do in order for it to happen.

I guess that’s true with any big task that we are presented with in life.  For some, it’s simply too big and they walk away before even beginning.  For others, they get started, then are overwhelmed by the minutiae and walk away.  Finally, others, ask God to,  as a good priest friend always reminds me, “make a way, or take it away.”

As each day passes, I’m more and more convinced that He’s making a way with me and my project.  Every day, there are new insights and surprises.  Every day, I’m learning to trust Him more.  Every day, I’m grateful for His help and growing more confident that He really does make all things new.

I'm passionate about helping people realize that God wants to make something new of them and bring about a permanent transformation in their lives: body, mind, and spirit.
