Focus

Whew, I just wrapped up another crazy day.  Sorry I haven’t been as consistent in my postings lately. 🙁 These days leading up to Easter are even busier for me than right before Christmas, but I enjoy every minute of it.

As with any busy time, a person can accomplish a lot if they focus on the task at hand.  A friend just mentioned a tip that helps him keep on target and focused.

Every night before he goes to bed, he writes out the three most important things he needs to concentrate on the following day on a post-it note.  He then puts the note on the mirror in his bathroom.

Just squeezing the words on to the note forces him to concentrate.  As he drifts off to sleep, thoughts of accomplishing those tasks enter his mind.  He visualizes himself completing every one.

When he wakes up in the morning, he sees the note in the bathroom, and reads each point.  Then, he throws it in the trash and gets himself ready for the day.  The person who gave me this tip is very successful, and I don’t think I’ve ever seen him flustered.

I’ve seen first-hand how much he is able to accomplish, and now that I know his simple method for staying focused, I’m going to put it into practice in my own life.

Although my friend had a great idea, you may have your own methods for staying focused.  That’s great, and I hope they serve you well.

Many of us, however, have a hard time focusing on much of anything, and our lives are negatively affected.

Why not get some post-it notes and join me in trying my friend’s method.  Focus is critical to success, and I think we all want to be successful.  Let’s see what happens.
