A New Day

The favors of the Lord are not exhausted, his mercies are not spent. They are renewed each morning, so great is his faithfulness. Lamentations 3:22-23

Did you wake up today expecting God to do great things in your life, or did you wake up stressed out, worried and anxious about all the problems and concerns you’re going to face?

I don’t turn to the book of Lamentations much, but this passage really spoke to me recently.  It’s a gentle reminder that God’s mercies, his love, and his kindness to us is renewed each and every day.  Do you ever think about that when you’re rolling out of bed?

Sometimes, maybe.  I’m going to keep this post short and to the point, because the message is so simple. It doesn’t matter what happened yesterday, last week, or last month- today’s a new day.  Invite God into it, and ask Him to fill you will hope and give you courage to face everything that comes your way.

Courageous and hope-filled people seem hard to find these days.  Instead of looking for someone else, find that courage and hope in yourself.  Let it begin with you.  If you live this way, you’ll be surprised at how much of an impact it  will make on your life and the lives of those around you. Give it a try and watch how the Lord’s favor will be manifested.
