walking roadI feel as if I've blinked and June has gone by. I don't believe I've ever been as busy as I am right now, and, although a break is coming, it's still off in the distance.Like all things, I'll survive, and maybe be better for it in the end. Well, let's hope :)

pentecost el grecI've been away this past week, and it was good to get home yesterday afternoon. I'm sure my neighbors appreciated my lawn finally being cut :) Anyway, I had a lot of reading to do, and it was great to sit outside, enjoying the beautiful weather we are having right now in my area. Today the Church celebrates Pentecost, the moment the Holy Spirit fell upon the first band of Christians.

ignatiusJust the other day, I came across something in our local Catholic newspaper that got me excited. The article was about a gentleman who was changing jobs at a Jesuit High School in Baltimore, and he said that one of his tasks at the school was to integrate St. Ignatius' Cura Personalis into the daily activities of the school. So, just what isCura Personalis you ask? It's Latin forcare for the...

irisMy next door neighbor made a comment to me last week that I've been happily pondering ever since. She said she is always amazed that from early spring to late fall, I have something blooming in my yard. My mother would be proud, since this was a goal she always worked towards and she instilled the same desire in me.This morning, as the sun was coming up, I took this photo of the irises growing...

DSC01321For the last three days, I've been trying to find the time to get this post up. Between work, school, and keeping up with yard work, I've barely had two minutes. Until now.A few days ago, I posted on the Ignatian principle ofFinding God In All Things. Over the last several years, I've been able to successfully integrate this spiritual concept into my daily living. Well, most days...

sun boatIt seems like Easter is quickly becoming a distant memory, doesn't it?I don't know about you, but I seem to be always trying to catch up. Maybe its work, a missed call from a friend, just paying the bills. It can be hard to focus on events of two weeks ago when I have a million things to do today.

imagesCA1BU2X1I hope you, your friends and family experience the joy that comes with Jesus' resurrection. We were blessed with a wonderful spring day yesterday, just what you'd hope to get on Easter. A good friend called and wanted to get together. We ended up taking a hike at a nearby nature center. Signs of new life were everywhere. How about you? Where are the signs of resurrection in your own life? I bet...

roadOver the last two days, I've finally gotten back to talking daily walks in my neighborhood. Because of the winter we've had, it's literally been months since I've been able to get out. I realized the first morning how much I've missed it.Even though, throughout the winder, I continued to exercise either at the gym or in front of my t.v. watching an exercise video, nothing beats getting out in...
