Rejoice

I got together with some friends last night for dinner.  The weather here in Westminster is starting to remind us that we’re in the fall season.  I think the low last night was in the 40’s.

As we sat outside talking for a bit, I realized how blessed I am.  Despite all the problems in our world today (and in our own lives), we still have it really good.  That’s cause for rejoicing.  🙂

Just the fact that we are blessed to be alive, to have computers to be able to access the internet, to be able to read these words because we have good vision, could be enough to change our mood from bad to good.  How many other things do we take for granted every day, not realizing that they are all gifts?

And when we reflect upon things, how can we not consider all the people in our lives? People are more important than things, right?  Yet so often we take our family and friends for granted.

Friends, we have much to rejoice about today. Take a minute and thank God for the people and things he has brought into our lives to make it worth living.  If we really wanted to do it justice, it would take most of us all day.  Yes, we have that much, and then some.

Enjoy the weekend 🙂
